Whilst there are members of the striking unions who work here at Lowe's Wong Anglican Methodist Junior School, they have taken the decision not to strike this Thursday 10th July.
They have asked me to state that whilst they feel they have good reason to strike due to the constant pressure of new initiatives, the real terms reduction in pay and the constant criticism of Ofsted, they wish to put the children first.
I respect their decision - this does not mean that should a strike be called in the future that we will not be affected.
Therefore, school will be fully open on Thursday. We are aware that The Minster School is closed, but will expect all of our children to attend.
